What Is Body U?

Body U is an initiative funded by the Missouri Eating Disorders Council based on over 30 years of research
at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Stanford University.

This program is offered to all adult Missourians at no-cost.

How Does Body U Work?

Our online survey is programmed to understand your behaviors and self-image. Based on your results, you’ll be assigned a custom-tailored online or mobile program that fits your unique responses.

NOTE: You will not receive an official diagnosis of an eating disorder or any other mental health disorder. Programs are not meant to replace in-person therapy.

What Types of Programs Can You Access?

Programs cover a variety of topics to put you in control, including:

Coping skills
Techniques to reduce anxiety and depression
How to positively evaluate your self-image
Healthy eating concepts

Body U is committed to respecting the privacy and confidentiality of all the information you provide. By participating in the psychoeducational programs provided by Body U, you accept that such personal data will be gathered and stored in our databases. We will maintain appropriate safeguards to protect the security, integrity, and privacy of your personal data. We will not share any personally identifiable health information with anyone outside of Body U, their agents and vendors (including Minddistrict), and the IT personnel that maintain the data, unless you agree to such disclosures in writing. De-identified data may be used as the basis of research.
